Designed as a dramatic focal point for large-scale or institutional Nativity scenes, this radiant angel proclaims the joyful announcement of Christ’s birth with grace, beauty, and reverence.

Sculpted in elegant flowing robes of rich teal and rose, the Gloria Angel hovers in graceful motion with magnificent outstretched wings adorned in luminous gold. In her hands she carries a white banner inscribed with “Gloria,” symbolizing the angels’ proclamation to the shepherds on that holy night: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace.” Her serene expression and sweeping posture capture the awe and wonder of the heavenly announcement.

Part of the renowned Fontanini Masterpiece Collection, this heirloom-quality figure is crafted in Italy from marble-based resin and meticulously sculpted, molded, and hand-painted by skilled artisans. The figure is designed to hang at the peak of a Nativity stable (hole in back provided), making it an ideal centerpiece above the Holy Family.

The beloved Fontanini Nativity tradition began over a century ago in Bagni di Lucca, Italy, when Emanuele Fontanini opened his first workshop in 1908. From humble beginnings in the hills of Tuscany, the Fontanini family built a legacy of artistry and devotion that continues today through their world-renowned Nativity collections.
