St Anne is the traditional name for the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus,a revered figure in Christianity known from early Christian writings, though not the canonical Bible. She and her husband, Joachim, prayed for a child, and an angel promised them a daughter, Mary, whom they dedicated to God. Celebrated on July 26th, she is a popular patron saint for grandmothers, housewives, and those seeking help with childbirth.   This piece can simply be used as a mother and daughter too.
